Findter Custom Filter & Search Shopify App
Findter Custom Filter & Search provides an all-in-one solution to instantly find products with diverse search criteria and filter attributes. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
Personal Information the App Collects
read_products
This includes products and collections. We require this permission to synchronize product and collection data between your Shopify store and our app, enabling features such as filtering and searching.
read_themes
This permission allows us to read store’s theme information for the auto theme setup process.
read_customer_events and write_pixels
This permission allows us to read and record some user activities during their sessions on store. These data are served for Analytics.
Upon installation of the App, we collect the following categories of personal information from you and/or your customers:
User Information: This includes the email address (stored in an encrypted database) of you and any individuals authorized to access the App on behalf of your store.
Visitor Information: We collect technical data from individuals who visit your store, such as IP address (see note below), browser type and version, time zone, and device-specific date/time stamps.
We obtain this information through one or more of the following sources:
Directly from the individual, either through interaction with the App or via your connected Shopify account.
Automated technologies, including:
Cookies: Small data files stored on your device or computer, often containing a unique anonymous identifier. For details on cookies and how to disable them, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Log Files: These record user activity on the site and may capture data such as IP address (***), browser specifications, time zone, and timestamps.
(***) The IP is converted to the geolocation data of state and country, and the IP is removed after that process. No IP address is stored in our app databases.
Why do we collect your personal information?
We collect your data for the following reasons:
To generate and save app configurations for your store.
To maintain contact with you to resolve any issues you encounter while using our app.
To facilitate the execution of various features and personalize your experience within our app.
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
To provide you with information or advertising related to our products or services.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not—and will never—sell, rent, disclose, or otherwise share personal information with third parties or external companies for the purpose of marketing their own products or services.
Personal information may only be shared under the following limited circumstances:
With specific Shopify merchants or third-party apps/service providers that you are directly interacting with through the App, as required to support the functionality and delivery of services;
To comply with applicable laws and regulations, or in response to lawful requests such as subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes;
When necessary to protect our legal rights, enforce our terms of service, or investigate potential violations.

Your Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, as well as the right to request that your information be corrected, updated, or deleted. We process your personal data either to fulfill contractual obligations (for example, when you place an order through the Site) or to pursue our legitimate business interests, as outlined above.
Please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to jurisdictions outside of Europe, including Canada and the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.
We receive store-related data directly from the Shopify platform via the Shopify API and Shopify Webhooks, in accordance with Shopify’s terms and data-sharing mechanisms.
Data Retention
Our retention practices are: for the store owner, data is stored in our app databases and is stored as long as the store owner continues using the app; when the store owner uninstalls the app, the data is deleted.
For order hook, all personal data is deleted as soon as the app receives the order hooks; no personal data is retained for this kind of information.
For application logs, data is collected for application analysis, monitoring, and security purposes, and is kept for 3 months (***).

Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
